The Reliability Standards Tracking site allows registered entities, regulatory agencies and other interested parties to view the status of regional reliability standards and standard authorization requests (SARs) and participate in the process.

Register to Participate

All interested parties are welcome to submit comments through this site during the commenting period of a standard under development. If you wish to comment on a standard, please register on this site. When you register, indicate the Reliability Standards Development sector with which your company is aligned for this calendar year (refer to Texas Reliability Entity Membership List). Membership in Texas RE is not required to participate in the standards process and if your company is not a member, please choose the most appropriate sector.

Registered entities and interested parties may join the Registered Ballot Body (RBB) (.pdf) to vote on regional standards. Each registered entity or interested party may have one representative in the RBB. Please complete Registered Ballot Body Form (.docx) and email it as a PDF to the Reliability Standards Manager. As the voting representative of a registered entity or interested party, you must register on this site in order to cast a ballot.

Join a Standard Drafting Team

If you are interested in joining a standard drafting team (SDT), please contact the Reliability Standards Manager.

Request a New Standard

Any entity that is directly and materially affected by the reliability of the ERCOT bulk power systems may request an ERCOT region-specific regional reliability standard to be developed, modified, or withdrawn. To submit a SAR, visit Reliability Standards (TexasRE.org) for the form, and submit to the Reliability Standards Manager.

SAR-008-TRE-1 ERCOT Regional Variance to CIP-001-1 Sabotage Reporting	X	X	X	X	X				At their May 5 meeting, the RSC voted to approve the ERCOT Regional Variance to CIP-001 for posting for ballot under the Urgent standards development process. The ballot period concluded on June 21 and the ballot passed with 6.05 affirmative segment votes. The next step is for the RSC to send it to the Texas RE BOD. The Board will take this item up at their August 24 meeting.
SAR-003-TRE-1 FERC-Ordered Modification to ERCOT CPS2 Waiver to R2 of BAL-001-0	X	X	X	X					The team will hold a workshop on August 6 to cover in detail the performance evaluation methodology described in the standard. Please RSVP to rsm@texasre.org if you plan on attending in person.
SAR-001-TRE-02 Provision for the ERCOT ISO to Participate and Have a Vote in the Processes	X	X	X	X	X	X	X	X	The revised Texas RE Standards Development Process containing the Provision to Give ERCOT ISO a Vote in the Process was approved by FERC on November 2, 2009, in Order 129 FERC 61,096. Implementation is complete.
SAR-002-TRE-01 Development and Documentation of Regional UFLS Program	X	X							The regional UFLS standard drafting team has submitted comments with NERC on the second draft of the continent-wide standard. You may view these team comments on the NERC Standards Under Development page for Project 2007-01. The national UFLS SDT is considering comments and will post a response on the NERC site when they are completed.
